    Eric Boggs Appalachian State Mountaineers Game Worn & Signed White & Black Nike Vapor Speed Cleats
    Eric Boggs is a former linebacker for the Appalachian State Mountaineers. Boggs attended Belton-Honea Path High School in SC and was a two-way standout as a linebacker and tight end and rated a two-star prospect by 247Sports and Rivals.com. Boggs earned South Carolina Class AAA all-state recognition at tight end as a senior. He also earned first-team all-region honors at linebacker and second-team accolades at tight end as a junior. Boggs amassed 169 tackles, 14 tackles for loss, eight sacks, four interceptions, four forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries and seven blocked kicks over final two prep seasons.
    In 2017, Boggs started all 13 games at inside linebacker for the Mountaineers and was named to the All-Sun Belt first team when he led the team with 102 tackles. The linebacker also had 9.0 tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks, two interceptions, six PBUs, two fumble recoveries and one forced fumble. Boggs showed his versatility with 15 tackles, one sack, one interception, one forced fumble and two pass breakups at UMass. For that great effort, he was named Sun Belt Defensive Player of the Week. At Idaho, he had six solo tackles, one sack, two fumble recoveries, 3.0 tackles for loss and two PBUs. He also added 11 tackles against Wake Forest and Texas State.
    In his career at Appalachian State, Boggs played in 51 games and started the final 45. For three straight seasons, he was the leading tackler for a defense that, in all three years, ranked first or second among Sun Belt teams in both points allowed per game and yards allowed per game. The linebacker was extremely versatile, he was the only FBS defender in 2017 with career totals of at least 325 tackles (he had 347), at least eight interceptions and at least 10 sacks (he had 12.5). According to Sports Reference data, he was one of five defenders since 2000 with at least 300 career tackles, eight interceptions and 10 sacks. Among active players in 2017, Boggs ranked 12th nationally with his 347 career tackles. Boggs all had 12 games with double-figure tackles.
