Steven Scheu 2016 NFL Pro Day Worn & Signed Official Vanderbilt Commodores Nike Pro Combat Compression XL Shirt – Several Inscriptions!!!
Steven Scheu is a free agent tight end most recently playing for the Denver Broncos. The tight end was signed by the New England Patriots shortly after the 2016 NFL Draft as an undrafted free agent. Scheu played his college football for the Vanderbilt Commodores.
Scheu attended Reitz Memorial High School in Indiana and was a three-year starter at tight end. In 2009, Scheu grabbed 43 receptions for 724 yards and 10 TDs, helping Memorial to their second straight state finals appearance. As a sophomore, Scheu had five TD catches. As a senior, Scheu hauled in 33 catches for 378 yards and five TDs for a 7-5 squad that advanced to the state 3A quarterfinals. His efforts were rewarded by being named to Indiana H.S. Coaches’ Association Top 50 All-State team as senior. The talented tight end finished his career with 93 receptions, fourth all-time at school, 1,433 receiving yards and 20 TD catches.
In 2012 at Vanderbilt, Steven Scheu capped his finest season as a Commodore by earning All-Southeastern Conference honors from the Associated Press. He started all 12 games at tight end in the new offensive scheme and established new career highs with 39 receptions, 525 receiving yards and four touchdown catches, sharing or leading the team in all three categories. Scheu posted more catches than any other SEC tight end, and ranked second in yardage. His receiving yardage total was the most by a Commodore tight end since 1983. Scheu registered at least one catch in all 12 games and established new single-game career highs against SEC foes Missouri (six receptions) and South Carolina (83 receiving yards). Scheu also amassed 20 catches, 256 receiving yards and three touchdowns in his last five appearances posting five catches of 25 yards of longer. Scheu also represented the Commodores offense at preseason SEC Media Days.
In 2015, Steven Scheu was nominated for several prestigious individual honors including the Wuerffel Trophy, William V. Campbell Trophy and Senior CLASS Award. The tight end was named as the team’s top Scholar-Athlete. Scheu played in 11 games at tight end, earning 10 starting assignments. He ended the season as the team’s second leading receiver with 26 catches, good for 231 yards and a touchdown. He also posted season highs in catches and yardage at South Carolina, registering six receptions for 59 yards. Scheu also had five catches against SEC foes Ole Miss and Missouri and a touchdown that came in the season finale at Tennessee. For his stellar career, Scheu accepted an invitation to play in the postseason East-West Shrine Game.
In between the combine and the NFL Draft, NFL coaches and personnel — not to mention the prospects themselves — turn their attention to the various college “pro day” workouts. These are not as all-encompassing as the combine, but they are important enough for the key decision-makers in the league to travel around the country for more than a month to see the talent up close and personal.
The featured Vanderbilt Commodores Nike Pro Combat XL Shirt was worn by Steven Scheu for Vanderbilt Commodores 2016 NFL Pro Day on March 3rd, 2016. The tight end had a stellar day running a 4.65 40-yard dash, bench pressing 225 pounds 23 times with a 34 inch vertical leap, a 9-8 broad jump, a 4.35 20-yard shuttle and a 7.14 three-cone drill. Another huge positive to scouts is that Scheu is known as a high-character individual. Scheu has signed the shirt and added “Worn at Pro Day 4-65. 40 yd, 4.35 Shuttle, 9.8 Broad, 34 Vert, 23 -bench” in black. The shirt features Scheu’s #81 with “TE” which stands for Tight End. One of a Kind Shirt worn by the former Commodore on the most important day of his young career!
